Salary: $28.55 - $32.86 / hourly
Hours Tours as per Schedule QualificationsQualifications: • Minimum 2 (two) year diploma in accredited Health Information Management program mandatory and current Professional membership with CHIMA (Canadian Health Information Management Association) required. • Previous experience analyzing health information, coding and abstracting with ICD-10-CA and CCI and knowledge of national coding standards and practices essential. • Knowledge of hospital ADT systems, abstracting programs, and report generators required – Experience with Epic, Winrecs and Crystal given preference. • Retrieval and release of information in accordance with PHIPA and current legislation governing health information, hospital and departmental policies and procedures. • Strong organizational and time management skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and ability to demonstrate RVH values. • Ability to perform duties within the physical demands of the work area.
