Life at RVH

The Renfrew Victoria Hospital (RVH) is a 55-bed, fully accredited facility located just 45 minutes west of Ottawa, serving a catchment area of over 60,000. Part of the Renfrew and Area Health Village, RVH provides medical, surgical and complex continuing care, as well as extensive ambulatory care with over 30,000 emergency and clinic visits per year.
RVH is the regional site for Nephrology, Assault Care Program (RACP), and Addictions Treatment Service (ATS), which are all designated bilingual by French Language Health Services Network of Eastern Ontario.
We work in the EPIC EMR, which connects us to most hospitals in our region for enhanced collaboration and efficiency by providing real-time access to patient medical information. Training is provided.
RVH has a long history of success when it comes to integration of services with our tertiary care partners at The Ottawa Hospital (TOH).
RVH is designated as a Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO) by the Registered Nurses' Association of Ontario (RNAO), and in December 2021, received accreditation with Exemplary Standing. This is for organizations that go beyond the requirements of Accreditation Canada and demonstrate excellence in quality improvement.
