You Can Make a Difference!

Becoming a volunteer at Renfrew Victoria Hospital offers exciting opportunities and rewarding experiences. We always need volunteers who are energetic, enthusiastic and dedicated, and want to make a positive contribution.

Whether the volunteer role involves direct or indirect interaction with patients and their families, you will help to improve the quality of care and overall hospital experience.

There are many ways to share your time and talents, and a variety of volunteer programs and positions to suit your interests and your schedule.

 

Hospital Volunteers

Hospital volunteers are heroes! From entertaining inpatients with music to facilitating pet therapy, making quilts, or greeting and giving directions, everyone has the ability to enhance comfort and care for our patients and support the professional staff at RVH.

Opportunities include:  RVH Auxiliary, Meals on Wheels, Palliative Care, Hospital Ambassadors, Look Good Feel Better, Recreation, Gift Shop, Foundation, Community Volunteers, Knitters/Quilters.

 

Patient & Family Advisory Council (PFAC)

As experts in Patient and Family experiences, patients are in a position to provide feedback and recommendations on improving the planning, delivery and evaluation of care services within the framework of Patient and Family Centred Care.

The RVH Patient and Family Advisory Council is dedicated to enhancing care providers’ understanding of the needs of patients and family members who use their services. Your voice will have an impact!

Hospital Auxiliary

Auxiliary volunteers can be found daily in the hospital gift shop, working at the clinics and in continuing care, delivering meals-on-wheels, etc. They also organize fundraising activities such as bake sales and home tours in the community. Their contributions are priceless!

 

RVH Board of Directors

Experience, knowledge, skills……everybody has something significant to contribute! We welcome active members of our community who are interested in health-related issues and projects, and have a variety of skills and experience. 

 

RVH Foundation Board of Directors

Leaders, collaborators and advocates, members of the RVH Foundation Board support the mission, vision and values of the hospital. All that’s required is a commitment to helping RVH make a difference in the lives of local residents by supporting innovation in equipment, facilities and programs.
