Renfrew Victoria Hospital (RVH) is committed to progressive leadership in the delivery of rural health care. RVH offers a complete range of inpatient and outpatient services, including regional programs in nephrology and oncology. We have been recognized nationally for our commitment to excellence and patient and family centered care.
RVH has a long history of successful integration of services with our tertiary care partners at The Ottawa Hospital (TOH). The surgical program at RVH is part of an integrated surgical program with the Department of Surgery at TOH.
The surgical program at RVH will be adding an additional full-time general surgeon to our team. This position offers a broad-based community general surgery practice including an established outpatient clinic, endoscopy, as well as ambulatory and inpatient surgery. The successful applicant will also be part of the Division of General Surgery at TOH. The successful applicant will fill the role of a Community General Surgeon in the division. The ability to work well in a team environment is essential. QualificationsApplicants must have certification in General Surgery from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and must be eligible for licensure as a General Surgeon with The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
Our physicians are mostly local. Calabogie, Renfrew, and the entire Ottawa Valley are stunning places to live and raise a family and, for physicians interested in seeing the area, tours are easily arranged and you are welcome to speak with any of our physicians. Physician retention is exceptionally high here. With the twinning of the highway from Ottawa to Renfrew coming soon, it is expected that Renfrew will grow significantly in the coming years.
