The Renfrew Victoria Hospital (RVH) is a 55-bed, fully accredited facility located just 45 minutes west of Ottawa, serving a catchment area of over 60,000. Part of the Renfrew and Area Health Village, RVH provides medical, surgical and complex continuing care as well as extensive ambulatory care with over 30,000 emergency and clinic visits per year. We work with EPIC EMR, which connects us to most hospitals in our region, and training is provided.
RVH provides a number of perks for staff, including up to $800 in education funds every year, an on-site modern gym open 24/7, and regular staff recognition, appreciation and wellness activities. We have a unique nursing bursary program that provides RVH nurses with thousands of dollars each year to further their education and certifications.

Qualifications

· Licensed trade certificate in electrical, plumbing, stationary engineer, carpentry, HVAC or similar.

· Completion of a relevant College diploma program.

· Able to follow technical instructions, blueprints and detailed specifications.

· Leadership and mentoring skills to support team members in acquiring knowledge and skills to support the efficient operation of the department.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite including email and outlook calendar.

· Mechanical aptitude necessary for emergency repairs to critical equipment

· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong organizational and communication skills required.

· Ability to perform duties within the physical demands of the work area.

· Ability to work all shifts occurring on posted schedules including on-call.
