DescriptionSUMMER STUDENT CLINICAL CARE ASSISTANT POSITIONS
Renfrew Victoria Hospital is hiring four full-time Clinical Care Assistants.
Under the direct supervision of an RN, and as part of our care team, your duties would include: • Obtaining and documenting vital signs and weights, care provided • Personal Care and Grooming, including toileting, assisting with feeding/snacks, bed linen changes, repositioning etc. • Ambulation/Transfers, portering • Answering Bells • Stocking Supplies/Carts • Directed to assist with emergency situations • Assisting with Oxygen under direction of Registered Staff • Other Duties as Assigned by the Nurse Manager/Coordinator
QualificationsRequired Qualifications: • Nursing student in any year of study in a College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) approved Baccalaureate Nursing (BScN or BN) program and Practical Nursing (PN) program. • Literacy skills to read, write, speak and follow written direction • Able to perform the duties within the physical demands of the work environment • A vulnerable sector check (VSC) valid within the last six (6) months (or, the ability to obtain)
