Description The System Support Worker, Summer Student, is responsible to assist the Director of Information Technology and System Support Worker II, and respond to first level support calls; monitor backups to ensure data integrity; configure new PC’s for the hospital environment; configure and maintain help desk application, document IT related procedures, complete IT related projects as assigned, and other entry level duties in a manner consistent with RVH’s mission, vision and values.
We use EPIC EMR (full training provided) and would be very well supported. Make use of our perks, such as a 24/7 gym with brand-new equipment, free yoga, lunches, treats and more. Just 45 minutes from Ottawa.
QualificationsCurrently enrolled in a IT related program. Ability to learn and support new applications. Able to make decisions independently, prioritize and carry out various job functions ensuring all deadlines are met in a timely fashion. Excellent attention to detail and applications training skills Excellent telephone, written and in-person communication and interpersonal skills Effective problem solving abilities as well as a commitment to quality Able to perform the duties within the working conditions of the work area including frequent interruptions; occasional heavy physical effort required such as lifting or moving equipment (minimum of 40 pounds) Able to make decisions independently, prioritize and carry out various job functions ensuring all deadlines are met in a timely fashion
