We have two full time summer opportunities for students in Addictions, Social Services, Youth Worker or Administration programs to join us! Opportunities are in our Addictions Treatment Service. Addictions Treatment Service Under the direct supervision of the Service Director, Addictions Treatment Service, and as part of our care team, your duties would include:
· Support the Administrative Assistant in the functioning of the daily operation of the department. · Receive incoming phone calls, providing information on the treatment system. · Provide receptionist duties and respond to general public and staff when appropriate. · Complete client intakes, add to the data base and wait list. · Help maintain the client and administrative filing system. · Special projects to promote the awareness of services in the community. Renfrew County Youth Wellness Hub The Peer Support Worker will provide support to youth who access services and recreation at the Renfrew County Youth Wellness Hub Ontario (RCYWHO). They will support and assist in creating a safe and accepting environment for youth (12-25 years old) with a special emphasis on the 2SLGBTQ+, Indigenous youth and other marginalized community youth.
QualificationsUnder the direct supervision of Manager of the RCYWHO as part of our care team, your duties would include: · Welcome and introduce new youth to the YWHO staff and other youth at the Hub. · Explain the digital registration process and provide assistance if appropriate. · Provide outreach and engage youth. · Refer any youth in need of crisis, mental health, or other core service supports to the clinical staff. · Work towards creating an inclusive culture with youth in a supportive and respectful manner. · Facilitate planned activities with Youth Hub Staff. · Set up and implement skills and well being activities under the direction of the Hub Staff. · Co-lead programs in person or virtually as required. · Other duties may be required. · Promote and advertise the hub and what is has to offer the community. Criminal Records Check completed within six months and compliance with RVH’s vaccination policy is mandatory. Pay: $15.50/hour for 37.5hrs per week. Apply today!
