The Renfrew Victoria Hospital (RVH) is a 55-bed, fully accredited facility located just 45 minutes west of Ottawa, serving a catchment area of over 60,000. Part of the Renfrew and Area Health Village, RVH provides medical, surgical and complex continuing care as well as extensive ambulatory care with over 30,000 emergency and clinic visits per year. We work with EPIC EMR, which connects us to most hospitals in our region, and training is provided.
RVH provides a number of perks for staff, including up to $800 in education funds every year, an on-site modern gym open 24/7, and regular staff recognition, appreciation and wellness activities. We have a unique nursing bursary program that provides RVH nurses with thousands of dollars each year to further their education and certifications.
But what really makes us proud to be part of RVH is our culture. We are people who provide excellent care for patients and their families, who support each other and our teams, keep each other safe, and are committed to our reputation as a model of excellence in health care. We are very proud of our high retention of staff and are continuously grateful for the amazing support of our community.
We have a number of units on which our RNs work: dialysis, ER, oncology and Medical Daycare, OR, Regional Assault Care Program, Medical/Surgical, Complex Continuing Care (CCC) (formerly known as Chronic Care) and ICU. The RVH ICU is a Level 2 Special Care Unit (SCU).
