DescriptionThe Renfrew Victoria Hospital (RVH) is a fully accredited facility
located just 45 minutes west of Ottawa. Part of the Renfrew and Area
Health Village, RVH provides medical, surgical and complex continuing
care as well as extensive ambulatory care with over 30,000 emergency and
clinic visits per year. We are recruiting hospitalists to work in our
evolving model of patient care. Our goal is to secure a majority of
permanent hospitalists who will be the MRP responsible for active, CCC
and ALC inpatients on a schedule that rotates weekly.
We offer: - A collegial medical team including in-house internist, general surgeons, anesthesia and nephrologists;
- The support of a dedicated nurse practitioner, experienced staff, and state-of-the-art equipment including CT;
- Strong linkages to The Ottawa Hospital, including formal integrated surgical and diagnostic imaging programs;
- UptoDate, and office and administrative support for scheduling and billing; and,
- As part of the Atlas Alliance of hospitals, our electronic medical record is EPIC and full training is provided.
- A flexible compensation package is available, featuring an income guarantee, option for benefits and pension, and
- access to the hospital’s Employee Assistance Program. The compensation model will include Fee for Service and
- HOCC. Relocation costs, mileage and/or accommodation may be negotiated as part of the package.
- Up to Date, and office and administrative support for scheduling and billing; and,
- As part of the Atlas Alliance of hospitals, our electronic medical record is EPIC and full training is provided.
A flexible compensation package is available, featuring a weekly income guarantee of $12,000 (inclusive of HOCC) with potential for additional billings based on occupancy as well as a bonus structure. Full-time applicants may wish to explore opportunities to join the hospital's benefit and pension plans.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate will be fully licensed in family medicine or internal medicine in Ontario and have current ACLS. Evidence of ongoing continuing medical education will be a requirement as will participation in hospital quality improvement initiatives.
