RVH signs on new physician for fall 2021

Renfrew Victoria Hospital is very pleased to announce that Dr. Brianne Clouthier has officially signed on and will begin practising in Renfrew this coming fall.
Dr. Clouthier is not a newcomer to the Ottawa Valley. She grew up in Carleton Place and has family in the Pembroke/Petawawa area.
She attended the University of Waterloo for her undergraduate studies in Kinesiology and completed her medical school training at McMaster University. In 2020, she completed her Family Medicine residency, also at McMaster.
“Towards the end of my residency, I came back to RVH to work with Dr. Steve Radke this past summer and decided to stay on. RVH is a great fit,” she states.
Dr. Clouthier will set up her practice with the Renfrew Medical Group at 510 Raglan Street and roster patients through Health Care Connect beginning this fall (to register with Health Care Connect call 1-800-445-1822 or go online to ontario.ca/healthcareconnect).
She is currently on maternity leave. Dr. Clouthier and her family live in Arnprior.
Dr. Clouthier notes that she has gained valuable experience in rural medicine throughout her medical training. Her first clerkship learning experience in medical school was with Dr. Angela Varrin from Renfrew.
“RVH and the community of Renfrew and area are very fortunate to have Dr. Clouthier, a wonderful physician, join our team”, says Dr. Radke, RVH Chief of Staff. “She will provide much-needed support both to the hospital and primary care.”
She also plans to take regular Hospitalist shifts. “I had the opportunity to do some hospitalist work last fall at RVH and really liked it,” she shares.
“We are excited that Dr. Clouthier will be joining the RVH team. Dr. Clouthier is already well known to and a great fit with the RVH team. We look forward to her start date later this year as a Hospitalist providing inpatient care,” stated Julia Boudreau, RVH CEO.
