Human Resources Business Partner The Renfrew Victoria Hospital (RVH) is a 55-bed, fully accredited facility located just 45 minutes west of Ottawa, serving a catchment area of over 60,000. Part of the Renfrew and Area Health Village, RVH provides medical, surgical and complex continuing care as well as extensive ambulatory care with over 30,000 emergency and clinic visits per year. As a result of growth, we are hiring a Permanent, Full Time Human Resources Business Partner.
Pay Grid: $44.67-54.30/hour
Reporting to the Integrated Vice President, People and Strategy, the Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for providing consultative services to managers and staff at the Renfrew Victoria Hospital and St. Francis Memorial Hospital on a variety of areas related to Human Resources. Specific duties and responsibilities may include but are not necessarily limited to: 1. Advise and consult with managers on strategic HR interventions. 2. Support labour relations through collective agreement interpretation (ONA, CUPE, OPSEU). 3. Provide employee relations guidance around performance, discipline, conflict resolution. 4. Liaise with managers regarding recruitment needs, job descriptions, final hiring decisions 5. May provide counselling or career planning for employees. 6. Develop, implement and evaluate applicable Human Resources policies and procedures. 7. May manage programs such as orientation, staff development, EDI, Accessibility, long service and recognition award programs.
QualificationsQualifications: If you do not meet all requirements, but think you would excel in this role, we encourage you to apply anyway. • Baccalaureate Degree or equivalent experience. • Preferred certification: CHRP, CHRP; RPR/CPC will be considered. • Member of HRPA • 5-7 years experience in Human Resources in a unionized environment (experience in public sector organizations like government, school boards, healthcare a definite asset) • Working knowledge of key legislation such as ESA, Labour Relations Act, AODA, Pay Equity Act. • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. • ‘Can do’ attitude and service-oriented • Fluency in Outlook, Word, intermediate Excel. Knowledge of Sharepoint and automation using AI applications (e.g., Microsoft Co-Pilot) is an asset. • Ability to work without supervision with accuracy meeting deadlines. • Ability to work under stressful situations and frequent interruptions. • Ability to make independent decisions. • Ability to prioritize multiple competing priorities, ensuring all deadlines are met in a timely fashion. • Access to a vehicle for occasional travel throughout region
