Come join us! As a result of an upcoming vacancy at RVH, we are hiring Part-Time Ultrasound Sonographer with our Medical Imaging Department.
QualificationsPay Grid: $37.24 - $51.41 /hour The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations and assist with specialized procedures, ensuring patient safety and confidentiality while adhering to departmental and hospital standards. Duties will include but are not limited to: • Perform ultrasound examinations and consult with Radiologists on pathologic findings. • Operate ultrasound equipment with minimal supervision, ensuring diagnostic quality and patient safety. • Assist with special procedures and helps to coordinate patient preparation and scheduling. • Utilize PACS systems for image display, networking, archival, and retrieval, and EPIC, the hospital’s electronic Health Record. • Acts as a preceptor and assists the Clinical Instructor to supervise and evaluate Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS) students when necessary. • Maintain ultrasound equipment and ensure a clean, safe environment. • Stay current with new ultrasound techniques and hospital policies. • Adhere to CMRITO’s code of ethics and hospital safety protocols.
• Perform patient transport when required. • Assists to maintain adequate supplies and report deficiencies to the Medical Imaging manager. • Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: • Graduate of an accredited Medical Ultrasound program. • Registered and in good standing with CMRITO. • Proof of Professional Liability Insurance (PLI). • Current CPR certification. • Skilled in equipment operation and image acquisition. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. • Physically able to meet job demands (e.g., prolonged standing, patient positioning, equipment handling). • Experience performing MSK and/or arterial scans considered an asset but not required.
