DescriptionRENFREW VICTORIA HOSPITAL Stores Clerk The Renfrew Victoria Hospital (RVH) is a 55-bed, fully accredited facility located just 45 minutes west of Ottawa, serving a catchment area of over 60,000. Part of the Renfrew and Area Health Village, RVH provides medical, surgical and complex continuing care as well as extensive ambulatory care with over 30,000 emergency and clinic visits per year. Duties will include but are not limited to: • Receiving and checking supplies that are delivered to the hospital • Issues supplies to the departments as required • Posts inventory and receiving into the computerized materials management information system • Organization, inventory, and copying of a wide variety of forms • Ensuring all supplies are delivered to user departments in a timely matter (ie. Right supplies, right quantity, right location, and right time)
This is a casual position with a salary range of $26.28 - $27.24. This will come with an additional 14% in lieu of benefits and pension.
QualificationsQualifications: • Grade XII Education • Previous experience working in a warehouse environment. • Graduate of an approved course in Materials Management through Ontario Public Buyers Association (OPBA), National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP), or Purchasing Management association of Canada (PMAC) would be an asset. • Computer skills related to Microsoft Excel and knowledge of computerized inventory management system required. • Ability to prioritize, organize and carry out various job functions within several departments, ensuring all deadlines are met in a timely fashion. • Must be capable of sustained physical exertion (frequently handles heavy weight materials, up to 50 pounds, including reaching over head; lifting, pushing, pulling heavy materials throughout the Hospital; and, spending the majority of the day on feet.) • Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g. pallet jacks) • Ability to work under stressful situations with frequent interruptions and make independent decisions. • Must have good organizational, attention to detail and communication skills – both written and verbal. • Day and evening shifts. • Basic math skills for inventory counting and calculations.
