DescriptionSUMMER STUDENT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY ADDICTIONS TREATMENT SERVICE (ATS) & YWHO
Renfrew Victoria Hospital is hiring a full-time summer student in our Addictions Treatment Services (ATS) and Youth Wellness Hub of Ontario (YWHO) community programs.
ATS Key Duties: · Support the Administrative Assistant in the functioning of the daily operation of the department. · Receive incoming phone calls, providing information on the treatment system. · Provide receptionist duties and respond to general public and staff when appropriate. · Complete client intakes, add to the data base and wait list. · Help maintain the client and administrative filing system. · Special projects to promote the awareness of services in the community RC YWHO Key Duties: · Welcome and introduce new youth to the YWHO staff and other youth at the Hub. · Explain the digital registration process and provide assistance if appropriate. · Provide outreach and engage youth. · Refer any youth in need of crisis, mental health, or other core service supports to the clinical staff. · Work towards creating an inclusive culture with youth in a supportive and respectful manner. · Facilitate planned activities with Youth Hub Staff. · Set up and implement skills and well being activities under the direction of the Hub Staff. · Co-lead programs in person or virtually as required. · Other duties may be required. · Promote and advertise the hub and what is has to offer the community.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications: • A student that has completed secondary school and has been accepted to attend college/university this fall, or has completed at least one year of post-secondary school education and will be returning in the Fall (preferred). • Strong working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office (including Word & Excel), knowledge of Adobe Pro is an asset. • Excellent organization skills, and ability to perform repetitive tasks • Past work experience in an office or healthcare setting and enrolment in an office administration or business-related program would be considered assets. • A criminal record check (CRC) valid within the last six (6) months
