DescriptionSUMMER STUDENT EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY HEALTH RECORDS SUPPORT
Renfrew Victoria Hospital is hiring a full-time summer student in Health Records Support.
Key Duties: • Provides administrative support to the Health Records team. • Under the direction of the Manager, will be responsible for the culling, preparation, documentation, scanning and destruction of hospital charts in accordance with the retention and destruction policies of RVH. • Help staff prepare documents and correspondence as necessary. QualificationsRequired Qualifications: • A student that has completed secondary school and has been accepted to attend college/university this fall, or has completed at least one year of post-secondary school education and will be returning in the Fall (preferred). • Strong working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office (including Word & Excel), knowledge of Adobe Pro is an asset. • Excellent organization skills, and ability to perform repetitive tasks • Past work experience in an office or healthcare setting and enrolment in an office administration or business-related program would be considered assets. • A criminal record check (CRC) valid within the last six (6) months
