DescriptionThe Renfrew Victoria Hospital (RVH) is a fully accredited facility located just 45 minutes west of Ottawa. Part of the Renfrew and Area Health Village, a multi-service regional health community, we support 450 staff with state-of-the-art equipment and offer surgical, medical and complex continuing care as well as an extensive ambulatory care program with over 30,000 emergency and clinic visits per year.
We are currently recruiting for a Temporary, Part Time Registered Nurse - FLOAT *in our Medical/Surgical department.
This position will include tours as per schedule. This position is unionized under the ONA collective agreement and comes with optional enrolment in a defined pension plan and progression through a competitive wage grid.
*Refer to Article N (Floating) of the ONA Local Agreement for guidelines regarding float positions and patient transfer. Qualifications• Experience with Adult Medical & Surgical Care essential. • I.V. Certification preferred. • Competency and ability to work in Special Care Unit required. • Experience in care of critically ill patients. • Current competence in Cardiac Monitoring Skills. • Current A.C.L.S. certification required. • CNAC Certification in Medical Surgical or Critical Care Nursing preferred. • Current Certification in C.P.R. at Basic Rescuer Level or equivalent required. • Coronary Care/Cardiac Management Course required. • Experience in Geriatric Assessment preferred. • Skills in Patient Education. • Ability to work independently and to perform duties in the physical demands of work area. • Team leadership skills an asset. • Demonstrates effective use of a computer for EHR documentation purposes.
