Addiction Counsellor, Contract (6 months), Full Time Addictions Treatment Service
The Addictions Treatment Service (ATS) provides outpatient community treatment services to individuals and family members who are experiencing problems because of alcohol and/or drug use and/or problem gambling. Individuals with a B.A., B.S.W., or S.S.W. and a minimum of two years related clinical experience are encouraged to apply. Demonstrated skills in problem gambling/addiction interventions, knowledge of community health and social service resources, and an understanding of motivational interviewing techniques are required. Attachment to a relevant college, certification as an Addiction Counsellor and bilingualism are employment assets. This position requires access to personal transportation and possession of a valid driver’s license.
QualificationsOne role working out of our Pembroke and Renfrew locations. The successful applicants needs to be a flexible/creative team member who can work independently and in group using a client-centered, solution-focused approach. A Vulnerable Sector Check is a condition of employment at RVH.
