Reaching out to our community to help combat COVID-19
In response to the expected surge of COVID-19 locally, Renfrew Victoria Hospital is appealing to the community for the donation of supplies. We currently have sufficient supplies to meet the needs of our staff and physicians and continue to work with our suppliers, but we want to be prepared for future demand.
“We’re very grateful for the generous support that the community has always shown RVH, and asking that they continue to support the hospital in these challenging times,” said Randy Penney, President and CEO.
The priorities for donations at this time include personal protection equipment (PPE) such as:
Another meaningful way that people in the community can help is by volunteering to sew fabric masks that will be used in the appropriate circumstances.
RVH is grateful to those individuals and businesses that have already donated items and ask if you do have unopened/unused supplies to donate, or are able to sew masks, that you please contact Patti Dillabough Executive Director of RVH Foundation at 613-433-4537 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to make arrangements for drop off or for sewing specifications.
We also ask that everyone does their part to help minimize the spread of the virus by following good personal hygiene practices, engaging in social distancing, self-isolating and self-monitoring, and making use of the supports in place in the community before going to the emergency department.
